Hello again

It's been forever, and we haven't been busy at all.  I have wanted to get to this, kind-of, but today I think it's going to be a short list of many happenings.  First of all, Mike has changed jobs.  He is still with Zions, but not managing.  His position is call Executive Banking.  He works with a certain list of clients.  So far, so good.  I have been doing some substituting and was also called to the Stake YW Presidency, 1st counselor.  Shocking, I know.  Other that that it's been:  family pictures, tell me which you like best

one helped out by a big brothers foot.  I LOVE the toothless smile.  It's one of my favorite ages

                                                              Whew, I need to keep up better.  That's LIFE!

Cowboy Rockstar

A few months ago, while we were in the car, Kenna told me she just couldn't decide what she wanted to be when she grew up:  a cowboy or a rockstar.

                                                                                    
She really liked them both, and she did say cowboy, not cowgirl.  If she was a cowboy she could have a horse, but if she was a rockstar she could sing on a stage.  I suggested she should be a cowboy rockstar.

                                                                                
 She didn't really think that they went together and she would have to choose. This outfit she put together after Christmas just screams Cowboy Rockstar to me.

                                                                          

It's all about Connor

Connor may have done his Eagle Scout Project back in Aug.  but we just got around to having his court of honor on Dec. 29th.  He actually had his border review and was approved as an Eagle on 10-10-10 which is nice because it's an easy date to remember.  Chase actually received his first 2 merit badges at the beginning.

  Three other boys also received their Eagle that night. 

 I had to speak a little about Connor, they presented each boy with his Eagle,

 then each boy gave out a "mentor" pin.  This is a new thing, allowing the boys to recognize someone instrumental in helping  him get his Eagle.  Connor chose one of his scout leaders, Everett Anderson.  He is a major scouter and really helped Connor alot.

  Then the stake gave them each a tie tack of a stripling warrior.  It was a nice night.  Kim and Mary drove up through an awful snowstorm to be there and brought most of Connor's cousins.  We are sooooo proud of him.  Here he is taking his Eagle Oath.
