At least I do. When we moved here about 5 years ago, Mike's Dad started taking us skiing. Connor learned when he was 8 and Chase was 5. Since then, our family has gone 3-4 times a year, except me. I was usually home taking care of a little one, although I did go a couple times a year, thanks to my terrific family. This is the year I have been waiting for! We can all go. In the past, we have gone south to ski with Kim at Snow Basin, Brighton, or Alta. This year we decided to try buying season passes to our local resort, Beaver Mountain. While Snow Basin it is not, it has a few things going for it. It's definitely small, but much less expensive and close. Terrific actually because we have already gone 6 times. And we are all skiing, YAY. We started Kenna this year. She went twice with us and then all of the kids started group lessons on Jan. 10. Kenna took to it really well. We thought she might be wimpy, honestly, but she hasn't. Last time when it was so cold, she wanted to go longer than the older one. They go every Saturday morning for four weeks. This is awesome for two reasons. Mike and I have two hours to ski by ourselves and the kids are learning so much. I can't believe how much my boys have improved in two weeks. Then we ski as a family in the afternoon. So I know I need to do a Smilebox or something, but didn't feel like it, so there are just lots of pictures on this post. Mike has my poles so I could take pictures. That's also the reason there aren't any pictures of me. Sad to because I look pretty hot in my ski clothes. :)

How fun for you all!! Hurrah for 2hrs of skiing sans kids!
I don't miss my attempts to ski at all, but it sure looks like you guys are pros.
I'm mostly curious what KIND of ski outfit you have. Hot pink, purple tights, matching hat?
This must be a great snow year too.
Also curious about the ski outfit? HMMMMM....leopard print??? J/K It's always nice to find an activity the whole fam can do together....the family that plays together...well you know the rest :) Enjoy the rest of winter on the slopes!
How exciting! It looks like everyone is enjoying themselves and it's an outdoor physical activity. Can't beat that! I personally DON'T want to hear about the ski outfit. I prefer to "imagine" :0) Besides, who cares how you look as long as you're having fun? Oh wait, that's me, not the general populace.
My ski outfit is actually pretty much like me, pratical. It's just a black and white coat and black pants. sorry to disappoint. I'll look for a leopard print hat.
I bet your the HOTTEST mama on the mountian - I've seen you - the snow melts in your wake! :) Your pics make me want to go up again just to get some pics of my family, good idea!
I am soo jealous!! My parents started taking us skiing when we were young too. I remember getting up at 6:00 so we could be to pebble by the time the doors open. The sad part of my story is that my husband who grew up literally 10 minutes from the ski hill, has only been skiing once...after we were married...he hated and won't go again. It is a great family activity!! Love the pictures!
Looks like loads of fun. I remember skiing a bit as a teenager and deciding I didn't like it in my 20s. Taking it up again when Dennis' and I were dating. Then remembering why I didn't like it after we got married. I haven't been since Tucker was a little guy. Guess it's not something our family will ever do together. Good for you though! I'm sure you ARE a hot mama on the slopes!
