We've been so excited to go skiing this year, but so far the weather hasn't cooperated. Kate and Chase got snowboards for Christmas, so we signed them up for lessons, hoping for more snow. We are still hoping. Heard the Beaver might have to close if they don't get snow soon. We have been going up anyway. Luckily Mike and I have some old skis, since there are lots of rocks. The best thing about it is getting into the sunshine. We have had an inversion in the valley for about two weeks now. That means the air quality is bad, you don't see the sun, and it stays super cold. If you go up into the mountains, you get to see the sun and it is actually warmer. I think that's why skiing seems to help my winter blues.  Mike and the kids even took my Dad over New Years.  They had a great time.
