Go AGGIES!

I love Utah State Basketball.  It's so much fun to go to the games.  We have a terrific coach, who believes in a team approach to playing and so much fun to watch.  We also have an awesome student section.  We try and go to a few a the games every year.  Someday I'll have season tickets.  Anyway, they made the NCAA.  Go AGGIES!

It always amazes me how I feel busy and seem to be, but when I sit down here to write, I can't think of anything.  Who wants to record another day of laundry and cleaning bathrooms?  Anyway, here's some odds and ends from the Wallaces.
Katie will pretty much only wear skirts to church.  In December, I started looking for some new ones, and couldn't find anything.  Who knew it would be so hard.  (Now there are skirts all over the place for spring  So Kate and I took a trip to the fabric store.  This skirt she has on is the first thing I have made without a purchased pattern.  She had a brown skirt before that she loved but grew out of.  I liked the style, but couldn't find a pattern, so I made my own by using her old skirt.  It was a challenge for me, so that made it fun.
Chase's teacher does a reward system for exercise.  They kids turn in a point for every twenty minutes of activity and that equals one mile.  They are tracking their progress on a map of the US trying to get from East to West coast using Route 66.  Everytime they cross a state, they get to have a party, themed with that state.  Friday, I got to go do an Oklahoma party.  We went with cowboy games and they loved this one, trying to lasso a "cow".  Most kids had never used a lasso, but one girl was a pro.  Did you know Beaver, Oklahoma is the cow chip throwing capital of the world?  There is a contest there every April, if you want to give it a try.
Connor doesn't really let me take his picture often.  This is just a picture of how he looked today.  Love this kid.

Utah State. Hey, Aggies all the way! Go AGGIES! GO AGGIES! HEY! HEY! HEY!

I still got it in me:) Those games are a blast! Not sure about this naked cupid guy, though...heehee.

I have a skirt that I love and have thought about pulling a part and using it as the pattern to make another one BUT 1) if I pull it a part I won't have it anymore and 2)I'm chicken it won't work :( Glad Katie's worked and that you'll be able to make skirts for her :)

Nice picture of Connor...for some reason when I saw it I thought of him when he was little...he was so cute, still is a cutie...tell him I said that, okay ;)

Ahh the Aggies. I'm truly not attached to any of my alma maters, but you have to love a sports team named after agriculture instead of some random animal. (I did love the volley ball while I was there)

So great you took the plunge into making your pattern for Katies skirt! It is a slippery slope from here on out. You will be making things from your own original patterns in no time! (well if you want)

Now, is that picture of the roping recent? Is there really no snow left at all?

Cute kids you have!

Thanks for the update. I'd even be happy with reports on the laundry and bathroom cleaning.

How did I miss this post?!
I think the skirt is Mahvahlas! I have probably made more things without patterns that with and you know - it IS cool beans. Keep it up.
How cool is it that the teacher is promoting exercise? VERY! Tyson just completed a work activity promoting activity and won a kindle. About drove Angel crazy in the process but hey :0)
Mr. Connor is one handsome boy. The fact that he is so sweet is a double threat. Look out in a couple years.
(I loved this post :0)
