Happy Mother's Day

For any of you who need a little Mother's Day laugh, here's the poem Chase wrote for me for Mother's Day.
                                                           Mom
                                          The Wind Beneath My Wings
                                                       by Chase
Whenever I hear the choir,
I remember you complaining about not wanting to go to practice on Sunday.
Whenever I taste a gross veggie,
I remember you making me eat one.
Whenever I smell hot pizza,
I remember you making it every Friday.
Whenever I touch foam soap,
I remember you always buying it.
Whenever I see a Dr. Pepper,
I remember you trying to stop drinking it.
You are my Mom,
     My Hero
           The Wind Beneath My Wings

Happy Mother's Day to all of you wonderful mothers.

OMG that is hilarious! You had to be busting up when you read it. Totally sweet!

That is so funny!

I feel certain Chase was aware of the sarcasm bubbling over in that.

It is funny either way.

You must be so proud...I mean who doesn't want to be associated with foamy soap?

Nice.
He has summed it all up pretty succinctly I'd say.
Gross veggies, Dr. Pepper, Pizza, things that every pre-teen feels passionatly about. Nice that he threw in the foamy soap tribute.

Future poet?

Chase is very aware of the sarcasm. My favorite is his remembering my complaining. Love this kid.
