homecoming week

The last week of Sept was Skyview's Homecoming week.  It was also USU's homecoming.  With a little encouragement from his parent's, Connor decided to ask a girl out for Homecoming.  Yay, his first real date.  He asked her by writing his name on a piece of 2x4 and then nailing another piece over it that said Wood you go to Homecoming with me?  I didn't take any pictures, pretty much I missed a lot of photo opportunities this week.
She responded that night with this.
For each day during the week, there was a theme and the kids could dress up.  Connor did not participate in this, but Chase loved it.  Of course, I didn't get pictures of every day.  This was Super Hero day.  Chase knew just who he wanted to be and we did our best.  This was also the day he got his braces off.  Yahoo!  About is before and below is after.
Riddle me this
This is Connor in the Skyview parade with the swim team.  He had a lot of fun soaking people.
Cowboy Day.
For Connor's day date, the were in the USU Homecoming Parade with the Zions Bank float.  They spent a lot of their day with our family, but oh well.  They had to walk along the side to give our candy, because they don't allow throwing it.
Here's their group, Connor, his date in red, Makena, Mikell and Con's friend Anzl
Chase and Katie, ready to give out candy.
This is what Mike did for most of the parade.

Proof I was there.  Kenna was in the parade with her cheerleading group, so we didn't even see her
Here they are before the dance.  They came to our house for dinner.  I did one of those crazy menus, where you have to guess what you are ordering like a napkin is sleeping cousin.  I wanted to encourage talking and not make them feel awkward because it was to formal.
Anzl got a steak with no fork.

Fun homecoming week and successful first date.  Also, USU won!

That is an event filled post.
Loved it!
Connors first date.. milestone.
Braces off... milestone.
Picture of you in a post... sort of an event. (:

Those were some giant bags of candy... and here is my most important question. Who is the guy with the Farrah Faucet hair? I had no idea that style was back for boys.
70s mens hair should not be revisited in my opinion.

I wholeheartedly concur with Celiac about the Farrah Fawcett hair, but have to say that the three boys in currently have who are sporting full on mullets with shaved sides of head are worse...
But, I LOVE the fun photos and the life changing events depicted therein.
Looks like the date was fun. Love the wood/rock invite & response :0)
And the parade with handed, not thrown candy seems pretty popular.
You are at one busy stage of life Miss Amy! Yet you find time to post. Good on ya!
