September

 The first day of school

  Chase 8th grad

Sam, Seth, and Chase.  These buddies pick Chase up everyday to walk to the bus stop
 Connor, Junior
Connor and Calvin.  Calvin also comes over every morning
 Kennadee, third grade
 Katelyn, fifth grade
Actually had a picture of Mike with all the kids, but only put in this one.
Kate's birthday was on Labor Day and did we party.  We started out by going to the parade in Wellsville.  This is the loudest parade I have been to yet.  Kenna just started a cheerleading class, which she loves, and was in the parade.

Kate saw this dog on the parade route.  Nanie and Papa sent extra money to Kate this year so that we could do something she chose as a family.  She decided to go to the Jump Zone, this joint with trampolines for floors.  I did take pictures, but none turned out well enough to be on here.  A great time was had by all, and Mike learned to do a backflip.
Next we went to Chili's for dinner.
Kate decided not to have a friend party because she has 12 friends she would need to invite and that was too many.
All she wanted for her birthday was legos.  Love this gir.
She had been saving all summer to buy these skeletoes shoes and couldn't find any her size.  We surprised her with some for her birthday.  They creep me out, but she loves them.

This month we got to attend the Open House for the new Brigham City Temple.  It was a great experience for our family.  It is such a beautiful temple.

homecoming week

The last week of Sept was Skyview's Homecoming week.  It was also USU's homecoming.  With a little encouragement from his parent's, Connor decided to ask a girl out for Homecoming.  Yay, his first real date.  He asked her by writing his name on a piece of 2x4 and then nailing another piece over it that said Wood you go to Homecoming with me?  I didn't take any pictures, pretty much I missed a lot of photo opportunities this week.
She responded that night with this.
For each day during the week, there was a theme and the kids could dress up.  Connor did not participate in this, but Chase loved it.  Of course, I didn't get pictures of every day.  This was Super Hero day.  Chase knew just who he wanted to be and we did our best.  This was also the day he got his braces off.  Yahoo!  About is before and below is after.
Riddle me this
This is Connor in the Skyview parade with the swim team.  He had a lot of fun soaking people.
Cowboy Day.
For Connor's day date, the were in the USU Homecoming Parade with the Zions Bank float.  They spent a lot of their day with our family, but oh well.  They had to walk along the side to give our candy, because they don't allow throwing it.
Here's their group, Connor, his date in red, Makena, Mikell and Con's friend Anzl
Chase and Katie, ready to give out candy.
This is what Mike did for most of the parade.

Proof I was there.  Kenna was in the parade with her cheerleading group, so we didn't even see her
Here they are before the dance.  They came to our house for dinner.  I did one of those crazy menus, where you have to guess what you are ordering like a napkin is sleeping cousin.  I wanted to encourage talking and not make them feel awkward because it was to formal.
Anzl got a steak with no fork.

Fun homecoming week and successful first date.  Also, USU won!
