projects

Don't women love projects?  I think it all goes to our need to create.  Here's the last dress I finished for the Prom Locker.  Michelle picked it up at a garage sale for $8.  She said I could play with it and it would be ok if I ruined it. Apparently, I forgot to take a before picture, it might be on the Prom Locker blog.  Anyway, it was ugly.  Baggy, plain, grandma looking, gathered sleeves.  I tried to make it more fun and current.  Here is the finished product.
I also repainted my front room and got some new furniture for it.  I had an old wooden window frame from my mom that I wanted to put in there.  I painted it and distressed it.  Then I made this cool book page wreath. Mike doesn't like it but I do.  I also found a sweet new light fixture at DI for $10.  It was still in the packaging.  I'll post a pict later.  I love my new room.

Happy Birthday to ME!

I am so far behind on my blog and there is so many other things I want to catch up on (like half of Sept and all of October) but I just have to share with all 5 of my readers what my sweet (I think) husband and my very good friend, Michelle did for my birthday.  On Tuesdays, Connor and I leave for swim practice at 5:15.  We pulled out of the garage to this:
It was dark and I really didn't get to appreciate it in all it's glory until I got home.  After I drop Con off, I just stay to work out.  I walked into the work-out room to see this on the front wall, with some balloons.
The picture is after I got home, cause I just didn't think to take my camera to spinning.  Here's what the rest of my front yard looked like:

We live 1/2 a block from the elementary school.  It was pretty funny to watch the kids that walk by our house.  Also fun to watch the cars go by, slow down to read the signs.  It's good to be loved.

Braces (Take 3)

It's Chase's turn!  He's so happy.  This is the before picture.
I take these pictures only in effort to be a good mom and record as many memorable moments in my child's life as possible.
HA!  I just think it's funny and I can't resist the joker mouth!

After.  Stay tuned, in about 16 months I will have shots of the finished product.
