Back to school

So I figured today might be a good time to try and repent of my blog slacker ways.  First day of school, new starts and all.  Kate started 6th grade at the middle school today.  She was probably the most nervous, changing classes, lockers, and her first time riding the bus.  She leaves the house first at 6:50
Mike got in the picture with all of the kids, but I only posted him in this one.  Kate's first day shirt, which you can't see very well, is beachy to reflect her love of Hawaii.  She still talks about that trip all the time.
Chase leaves the house next at 7:15.  He starts 9th this year, a Freshmen.  He is so excited to see all his friends.
He told me I had to get a shot with his buddy Seth, who always comes to pick him up.  His first day shirt is Charlie Brown, who, he informed me is cool.  Mickey Mouse is not.  Apparently, I know nothing about that.

Connor leaves next, but I'm saving him for last.  Kenna picked her first day outfit with much care.  I was pretty flattered because I made that skirt for her.  She starts 4th grade today.

Ahhh Connor.  My last first day of school picture of him.  I had to put it up with his first, first day of school pict.  Here's to a good Senior year.

This is the crew of hooligans that walked to school with Con.  They weren't that happy about getting their picture taken, but I didn't really care.  Have a great year everyone.

Ok. That totally made me teary.
I'm such a boob. What a fun, exciting, scary time for them. I think you captured the essence of them quite nicely in their photos. And it's great that you got some with their friends.

Ahh...milestones :0)

Wow you really hadn't posted in awhile. I have done first day pictures for all the boys for years too. Pretty amazing how quickly it passes isn't it. It's a great tradition!

Oh I would be freaking out. In some ways it's got to be crazy to have a senior. I still swear you aren't old enough yet!
Cute kids. I had to be schooled on what was cool and what was not from my kids as well.

Love this post!!
Thank you for starting again.
Oh man.. Connor in first grade and then as a senior. I got misty eyed in sympathy myself. He is such a sweet kid. (dont' tell him I said so)
I hope Kate's first day in Middle school went great, as I'm sure that was a big nervous jump for her.

I'm with Des... how on earth are you old enough for a senior?

Still loving the green door by they way.
