Snow Days

Remember the days when snow only meant fun? No thinking about driving on yucky roads or having to shovel out your driveway 100 times? We haven't gotten as much snow as some, but we have gotten alot more than usual. People say,"This is what winter used to be like in Cache Valley." I'm honestly really grateful for the snow. It helps the drought and all. We have also had some good fun. We've been skiing, sledding, and just playing in the yard. The girls were out today,
sliding down our snow piles. However, I'm not sure I'm grateful for the snow plows. In Idaho
Falls, they rarely plowed the side roads. I have fond memories of gunnig my car as I turned onto my street, fishtailing down the road to finally slide into my driveway. It really was kind of fun. Here, they are terrific about keeping the roads plowed. In fact they go down the road to the side of my house at 5:00 a.m. about 50 times. Really my big issue is that they go so fast, they fill
your driveway with snow. Because I'm on the end of my cul-de-sac, I even get extra. There have been times I've gotten my driveway all shoveled, then gone out later to find a two-foot wall at the end of it. Shoveling that makes me want to cry. Then where to put it. It's far to haul it to the side of the driveway, but they say if you throw it back in the road, you can get arrested. I'm scared. Anyway there's my snow rant. I guess if that's all I have to complain about, life must be pretty good. I'll just chalk it up to a good workout.

Look at those cute kids! (Mike's cute too)
It looks like it was almost a warm day?
Now where does one get snowman parts? Those are pretty cute too. I like the hat especially.

I would be so bitter about the 2 feet of snow in the drive! That is a back breaker.
Thanks for showing. It is a big reality check for me down here in the sun. (although it is raining madly today)

Yeah..We are twenty minutes north of Denver and we haven't had a real snow since Christmas! The dirt in our back yard is cracking it is so dry already. I think drought is following us. Aaron likes just seeing the snow in the mountains. I am kind of jealous believe it or not!

Oh yeah, the joys of the over vigilant snow plows. Chuck is rather fanatical about shoveling and he gets pretty frustrated when he goes out to find a nice new pile where he just finished shoveling. But, at least we have a snow blower. The kids look like they're having fun. This year has been a little more like the snow I remember growing up.

We don't usually get enough to have to shovel. Our snow days are over for the year I'm sure. Looks like loads of fun.
